After viewing many blogs on classroom management, structure, activities and organization, I have found 4 that have sparked my interest.
The first blog I viewed was from Laura Candler. She has
various tips on how to manage your classroom. I think her blog is great because
it gives you numerous tips and strategies such as establishing procedures and
creating classroom rules. Her blog also has a section that gives you ideas on behavior
reflection forms so that the students can view their progress or lack there and
figure out ways to change it.
The next blog that I viewed was from Angela Watson and it is
about classroom management. Her blog was talking about the difference between
discipline and punishment. It also states the role the teacher plays when they
guide the students.
The third site that I view was from Teaching Ideas and one interest
that I had was Transition Activities. This sight has numerous was for transitions
so that the children can know an activity is offer. You can reward students at
the beginning of the year with a badge, or use a transition record books or
scrolls to document the progress and discuss with the students. On this site,
you can also view videos to aid you in your transitions.
Erica Crowder was the last blog that I really took an
interest in. She has posted some very helpful management tools that help in
various areas of development. She even has free printouts and links that we can
download.
These blogs were very informative and I have subscribed to
every one of them. Thanks.
